Dr. Robert Akers & Family
Dr. Robert R. Akers was
born in 1974 and raised in Parkersburg, WV. He is the son of
David & Diane Akers.
He is a 1992 graduated of
Parkersburg South High School.
He attended WVU-P from
1992 to 1997, majoring in pre-professional studies, while working at Johnson
Chiropractic Center and Black's Motorsports.
In September 1997 he
entered study in Chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta,
Georgia.
While in Chiropractic
college he served eight terms as a clinic representative to the
National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
He graduated Cum laude in
March 2001. In May 2001 he finished a 100 hour certification
in extremity manipulation. Also in May 2001 he entered
practice at Johnson Chiropractic Clinic in his hometown of
Parkersburg, with his Uncle, Dr. Mike Johnson.
Dr. Akers currently resides
in Southside with his wife Michelle (Carpenter) Akers, a 1989 PSHS
graduate, and their daughter Anna Marie Akers who was born in
Marietta, Georgia.
He is proud to be
practicing chiropractic, and being one of seven family members to do so,
starting in 1920 with George Johnson, his Great-Grandfather.
